The demand for electric scooters in India is growing rapidly, and July 2025 proved to be a milestone month for the industry. Among all brands, TVS Motor emerged as the clear leader, leaving competitors behind and taking the top spot in sales. The company’s popular electric scooter, TVS iQube, played a major role in this success.

TVS Motor Tops the Sales Chart

In July 2025, TVS Motor sold 22,256 units, recording a 13.23% growth compared to the same month last year. This performance made TVS the number one brand in the Indian electric scooter market. The iQube series was the driving force behind these impressive numbers, attracting buyers with its blend of performance, features, and reliability.

Bajaj and Ola Follow Behind

Bajaj Auto secured the second spot with 19,683 units sold in July, showing a 10.80% growth compared to last year. The rising popularity of the Chetak EV contributed significantly to this growth.

Ola Electric, once the market leader, slipped to third place with 17,852 units sold. This marked a steep 57.29% decline in year-on-year sales, showing the growing competition in the EV space.

Ather and Hero Make Strong Gains

Ather Energy came in fourth with 16,251 units, recording a solid 59.04% growth. Models like the Ather 450X and 450S have been attracting a lot of attention from buyers.

Hero MotoCorp made a strong entry into the EV segment, selling 10,501 units of its Vida series scooters—a remarkable 107.20% increase compared to last year.
