Kawasaki has rolled out the new Ninja 125 and Z125 for international riders. These bikes are already quite popular in Europe as beginner-friendly machines, and now they arrive with updated paint schemes that sharpen their sporty looks. While the mechanical parts remain unchanged, the refreshed styling gives them a more premium presence on the road.

Engine and Riding Performance

Both bikes share the same 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 15 bhp at 10,000 rpm and 11.7 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm. The output is enough to give learners confidence without being intimidating. The smooth power delivery makes the Ninja 125 and Z125 suitable for everyday rides in the city and light touring on highways.

Design and Frame

The styling clearly reflects Kawasaki’s bigger bikes. The Ninja 125 comes with a full fairing and aggressive lines, giving it the feel of a true sports bike. The Z125, on the other hand, goes for a naked streetfighter look, ideal for riders who like a muscular stance. Both motorcycles sit on a tubular steel diamond frame, supported by 37mm front telescopic forks and a rear monoshock. Handling is light yet stable, which makes them easy to control for new riders.

Key Features

Kawasaki hasn’t compromised on equipment. The Ninja 125 and Z125 come with a fully-digital instrument console, offering modern and clear readouts. ABS is standard, ensuring safer braking in all conditions. Riders also get access to Kawasaki’s Ergo-Fit system, which allows slight adjustments to the riding position for added comfort. At around 150 kg of kerb weight and a seat height of 785 mm, these motorcycles are approachable and confidence-inspiring, especially for beginners.

Price and Market Availability

In international markets, the 2026 Ninja 125 is priced at £4,699 (about ₹4.90 lakh), while the Z125 starts from £4,299 (about ₹4.51 lakh). For now, Kawasaki has no plans to bring either of these entry-level models to India, keeping them exclusive to markets like Europe.

Final Thoughts

With the 2026 update, the Kawasaki Ninja 125 and Z125 continue to be excellent entry-level options for riders starting their motorcycling journey. Their lightweight build, practical performance, and refreshed styling make them both appealing and approachable. While Indian buyers may not see them in showrooms, these two bikes reinforce Kawasaki’s commitment to delivering accessible sport machines for new riders around the world.
